Position in the organization
The Account Manager Direct/New Business reports to the Sales Manager.
The Account Manager will perform the following tasks
- Realization of the “SMART” goals. These goals will be communicated on a quarterly and yearly level. The goals will cover both quantitative and qualitative aspects.
- Formulating a crisp action plan to achieve the above mentioned goals. This plan will cover:
- Market survey of the assigned market
- Approach to generate the leads in the assigned market (suspecting)
- Account plan for the identified leads
- CRM approach for existing customers
- Focus plan to continuously improve customer satisfaction
- Act as the primary point of contact for all customers and leads in the assigned market.
- Phone calls (acquisition)
- Client visits, going out to hunt
- Keeping CRM admin (Salesforce) up-to-date for proper funnel management
- Perform the negotiation and create the offers with and for all leads in the assigned markets. Offers should always be within the Commercial Framework (Pricing, T&C’s etc). In case offers should need to go outside the framework, the Sales Manager should be involved and approve the offer before communicating with the customer.
- Handover the orders to Sales Support according to the Project Handover Process
- Give monthly input to the Sales Planning Process (based on the Funnel)
- Participate pro-actively in the Sales Meeting
- Provide relevant market information to the team:
- Market development
- The Account Manager is accountable for achieving the budgeted turnover in the assigned markets.
- As well as the relation management (existing customers) and extending the customer base
- Improvement of customer satisfaction rating
- Execute the agreed Sales plan incl Account Plan
- Create and negotiate offers for the leads according to the agreed process and within the Commercial Framework
- Complete the order and hand them over to Sales Support
